COVID-19 UPDATES

It is the policy of United Youth to generally follow the calendar of Hudson Area Schools in regards to weekends that we take off from meeting. Due to the concern over the Coronavirus, and the mandate by the Governor to close all schools in Michigan, United Youth will not be meeting on Sunday nights until further notice. We will continue to monitor the situation week by week.

Our Small Group Leaders (SGL) are planning to connect with teens during this time to help them process their thoughts and emotions through what God’s word says, to encourage and equip them, and to show them what it looks like to love God and others during this season. As a parent, please do not hesitate to reach out to your teen’s SGL during these coming weeks. We are here to serve you as a teen or a parent and your family. As a teen, please continue to stay in touch with your SGL. They will be praying for you and helping you navigate what it looks like to follow Christ in uncertain times.

Also, during this time we will be asking the teens to put their faith into practice. United Youth exists to help teens own their faith and times like these challenge us to grow much quicker than normal. We recently spoke to them about what it looks like to look at those around us, notice their needs, and meet those needs. This is an opportunity for teens to do just that. There will be multiple needs arising from school closures and social distancing measures. During this time we are putting together a list of tangible ways we can love our neighbors and our community. If you have thoughts or know someone who is in need, please let us know. As always, we trust God and know He alone is sovereign in this situation. We continue to pray for a quick and safe resolution while also serving where our Lord and Savior leads us.
